Namhae island is on the southern coast of South Gyeonsang Province, South Korea.

There are alot of beaches and place to go in sightseeing in Namhae island.

However, the public transportation very limited so I would recommend traveling from place to place by car.

 

 

How to get to Namhae island?

1. Take a plane or KTX to Jinju airport and change to rented car.
2. Take a bus from Seoul southern bus termainal to Namhae bus terminal and travel with taxi.
3. Take Busan west terminal to Namhae bus terminal and travel with taxi.

This cafe uses citron that was grown in Namhae island.

Koreans usually drink warm citron tea when the weather gets cold and catches cold.

Citron is rich with Vitamin C.

Opening days: Everyday except Wednesday

This cafe bakes citron castella everyday so, the number of castella is limited.

If you go a little late, you would not be able to try their castella.

 

 

 

The menu is as below:

• Yuja castella

There is a small garden right in front of  the cafe and seats are available right outside the cafe.

Pets are allowed outside the cafe, so  you do not have to worry about taking your pets.

There are also seats available inside the cafe.

The outside of the house looks like the "old country house style" of Korea.

The inside looks like the modern housing.

I ordered two cold citron juice and one dish of citron castella.

The juice is sweet and the castella is so delicious that I bought one box to bring home.

 

 

 

It is a must go place if you are traveling in Namhae island.
